FAQ / Personal Safety and Security

Exercising caution with what you put into your profile is the best way to make sure that you keep personal information such as your telephone number, address, or pant size, personal.

How will Kisscafe use my personal information?

Although we need your email address in order to give you an account, we won't flood your inbox with annoying spam or sell your address for others to do the same.  As for the information on your profile, you're in complete control over what you share with us and to others. We'll only use your information to help find other people with the same interests as you, or fit the profile of someone you are looking for (by age, sex, location, and so on).

Privacy and Security

If you have personal photos or blog entries that you only want your nearest and dearest to see, you have the option of locking them away from the public. Only your contacts with an Private (5 Start) rating will have access to any locked information.

In your profile, you have a space to write block of text about anything you want, in a private section only visible to your private contacts. You can name this portion of your profile anything you want, and include any information you choose.

Guidelines for staying safe

You can never be too careful when interacting with people through any internet site.  Although we try to ensure the safety of all our clients to the best of our ability, it's up to you to decide who you feel comfortable being in contact with.  Some ideas to help keep you feeling safe:

  1. Avoid putting highly personal information on your profile
  2. Check out other peoples' profiles before you talk to them
  3. Never give out your phone number, email, or mailing address unless you feel completely safe doing so.
  4. Don't agree to meet with others unless you are completely sure it is safe to do so.
  5. Use common sense!

If you feel that you are experiencing harassment or any form of abuse on Kisscafe, you can block the other user or report it here, (link to abuse report).

What is considered abuse, harassment, or inappropriate online behaviour?

Kisscafe works hard to bring you the best service possible and allow you to meet new, interesting people, at no cost. In exchange for this, all we ask is that members treat our site and the other people on it, politely and respectfully.  Abusing the privileges that come with Kisscafe's free membership will not be tolerated.  Abuse of the site and other members can come in many forms, including the use of rude and offensive language, posting inappropriate comments or vulgar images, scamming, and misrepresentation.    If you wish to post information that you think other people might consider rude, vulgar, or offensive, set it to private so that only your private contacts have access to it.

Any repeated and unwanted contact can be considered harassment and will be dealt with accordingly.  If you experience any contact with others that you find inappropriate, come across offensive material, or know of any abuse happening on our site, please report it.  You should also block the other user or delete them from your Contact List.

To delete a contact, go to your Favorites page and select the trash icon connected to the profile of the user you want to remove. To block a member from sending you messages, go to your Communication Center and select a member from sending you messages, go to your Communication Center and select the ''Block User'' button when they send you a message.  Blocking someone will prevent them from contacting you in the future.

You can also contact us at abuse@kisscafe.com

Needless to say, online identity theft is a form of serious abuse.  If someone is impersonating you online, or is putting forth false information, please report it.
